- Installation:
- Do not exceed the limitations as indicated on the information sheet, eg max lateral length and max operating pressure.
- The dripper outlet must be on top of the drip tape.
- Avoid damage to the drip tape during installation and do not twist, pull, cut, or perforate it.
- Drip tape can be installed on the surface, under mulch or subsurface below ground.
- Use appropriate fittings to prevent leaking and joining of pipes.
- Drip tape should be under acceptable tension to allow for expansion and contraction because of temperature variations.
- In windy conditions it might be necessary to use an anchor or hoop to prevent sideways movement.
- Main and secondary lines should be flushed before connecting the dripline.
- Maintenance:
- It is advisable to regularly flush the drip tape and filtration system.
- Water must be clean - install a proper filter, either screen, disc or sand.
- Rodents, roots and insects can damage the drip tape, install proper preventative measures.
- Use only water-soluble fertilizers and flush the system before shut-down.
- When removing drip tape from the field ensure to use a spool. Do not bundle the pipe.
- Do not attempt to unblock outlet holes with a needle as an emitter is embedded inside the wall that will be damaged.
